Wall Street tells the story of a young man, Bud Fox, who struggles to become famous and rich until he meets Gordon Gekko, a wealthy and influential figure in the financial world. Gekko ends up using Bud to carry out difficult tasks on Wall Street, including buying major shares in Bluestar Airlines.
The most unnoticed scene in the movie is when Bud goes to repay the money he borrowed from his father while smoking. Bud warns this Father to stop because he had already survived a heart attack. Later, toward the end of the movie, when Bud tries to smoke again in the hospital after his father’s second heart attack, he stops himself.
The hard lesson is that lessons are often learned the hard way.
Wall Street (1987) is a good movie for hustlers seeking success — not by relying on others’ buying and selling but by learning to create opportunities for themselves. I give the movie a 7/10 rating and recommend it to you as well.
